Dear Editor,
Recently I saw a letter in one of our dailies praising the work and professionalism of a senior police officer.
Well some people don’t know what professionalism and integrity really mean.
A month ago the same officer could not act on his own, to grant bail to two men who were accused of minor traffic offences.
Yet this same office could have called the East La Penitence Police Station, instructing that bail be granted to a man who was arrested for allegedly threatening another with a gun.
Now the public will judge this scenario to determine if our Police Force is not being manipulated by the scourge of favouritism and unprofessionalism.
