The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) will no longer have challenges when it comes to fully outfitting national teams on and off the field, thanks to USA based Company +One.
Yesterday afternoon in the Federations Board Room, +One Vice President of Marketing and New Business Ms. Donna Wilson and GFF President Colin Klass affixed their signatures to a Four-Year Contract officially activating the relationship and partnership between the two entities.
Klass in remarks hailed the significance of the partnership pointing out that months of negotiations have finally brought the desired results and both sides are happy with what the future holds. “After lengthy discussions legally and otherwise we have arrived at a position now where the federation is much more comfortable and it will definitely have a positive impact in a major way going forward. In addition to the equipment deal there is also the aspect of international friendly matches for our players at various levels.”
Being new to the +One family, Klass said that they {GFF}would like to benefit from all the growing up experiences so they will work and grow together with +One highlighting that both entities will profit significantly.
Ms. Wilson stated that +One is very excited about the partnership with the GFF and they are looking forward to the future as the two entities build the relationship and grow together.
The 4-year contract, it was reported, is renewable within 60-days of its expiration.
Speaking on the brand being a household name, Klass said that the GFF is ideally positioned to achieve this for +One.
Players will no longer have to complain about not having adequate gear to train and play he said. “This partnership will now take the game in Guyana to another level where Guyana will be getting on par with international standards.”
“This sponsorship is excess of US$350,000 per year and this is at prices below wholesale so in reality it can be over half a million a year.”
Ms. Wilson informed that the deal includes training and match balls, training and match uniforms (kit) and jogging suits along with monetary incentives to the teams.
The GFF, Klass said will also purchase quality replica shirts during the year which they would have available for partners and individuals to buy.
Replica shirts and other items would also be on the +One website and the GFF will actually benefit from the sale of these items.
