YEST facilities to be upgraded

The Youth Entrepreneurial Skills Training (YEST) Programme, which is currently being run by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, at Kuru Kuru on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway, is scheduled for several upgrades to its facilities this year.

Bids were yesterday opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board for the rehabilitation of several of the buildings in the entity’s compound which is housed at the former Guyana National Service site.

As it relates to the maintenance of the main training building – for which the Engineer’s Estimate was $11,938,000 – the bids were:
