15 teams set to battle for top honors
Competition in the Trophy Staff sponsored Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) of Guyana Inter Jamaat 10 overs tape ball round-robin cricket competition is set to commence tomorrow, January 1, 2011 at the MYO Ground, Woolford Avenue, Thomas Lands, Georgetown.
Fifteen (15) teams will be vying for the top spot with Enmore, the defending champions aiming to retain the title.
The competing teams have been divided into two-zones and all matches will be played at the MYO Ground on the mud wicket with bales being used. In the event of overnight rain, the concrete wicket will be used.
Teams drawn in Zone ‘A’ are: Grove, Farm, Wales/Sisters Village, Enmore, LBI ‘A’, De Edward (Berbice), Mocha Arcadia and Diamond/Grove Masjid.
Zone ‘B’ teams are Bell West Canal # 2, Queenstown, Ogle, New Mosque, Lusignan, Corneila Ida and LBI ‘B’.
Matches set for tomorrow:
Enmore v Grove 09:00hrs
Farm v Macha Arcadia 11:00hrs
Lusignan v New Mosque 13:00hrs
Sunday Games:
Queenstown v Bell West Canal # 210:00hrs
LBI ‘B’ v Corneila Ida 12:00hrs
