Dear Editor,
The Editorial of Kaieteur News (December 21), “Lawlessness abounds in this society”, surely caught my eye; I thought that you were supporting my premises in my letter two days before where I stated that there should be stark cessation of those who repeatedly defy the laws and law authorities – referring to the confrontation with police and local authorities on Cemetery Road.
Let me quote verbatim the first paragraph of the editorial: “Lawlessness knows no bounds and when people believe that they can be as lawless as they wish the society must take steps to crush them.
Of course, there is the adage, ‘Give a man an inch and he will take a mile.”
Mr. Editor, may I remind you that what is good for the gander is also good for the ‘special goose’ or geese!
