The Guyana Softball League (GSL) has reported that the year 2010 has brought much progress for the organization and softball cricket as a whole both on and off the field.

They were also able to develop females to the extent that 43 teams participated in countrywide competitions from most areas of Guyana. A number of floodlight tournaments were also held which generated plenty of crowd support.
Harprashad noted the organization has grown from strength to strength in that it is now positioned to attract major participation as they have developed the various areas and established leagues across Guyana to cater for the smooth running of softball cricket, which includes Berbice, the Essequibo Coast, Linden, Essequibo Islands, Upper and Lower East Coast, West Coast and East Bank as well as Georgetown.
