Dr. Noel Blackman birthday 7-a-side football continues today
Action in the Dr. Noel Blackman birthday knockout 7-a-side football tournament continues today at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground Bourda.

The tournament coordinated by Former national player and coach, Lennox Arthur, is in honour of the birth anniversary of another former footballer, Dr. Noel Blackman, who was also a Minister of Health during the People’s National Congress (PNC) led administration several years ago.
The winner will walk away with $100,000 and the runner-up $50,000 along with trophies.
A total of 11 games are slated for tonight and football fans will be entertained by the skill of the street and area teams on show.
In the schedule fixtures for tonight: Lodge vs Lima Dam, Leopold Street vs Vryheid’s Lust, Kitty vs Grove, Sophia vs Charlotte Street, Tiger Bay Goed Fortuin, Alexander Village vs Dem Amstel, Albouystown vs Kuru Kururu, Broad Street vs Timehri, North East La Penitence vs Winner of game 1, Pouderoyen vs Winner of game 2, Mocha vs Winner of game 3 and Uitvlugt vs Winner of game 4.
