Dear Editor,
The front page of the Kaieteur News (20-12-10) made me sad on one hand and angry on the other.
There was a picture of a family being transported by two bulls pulling a cart.
At a glance all looked well but closer examination revealed that the bulls have a home made harness passing through their noses, which is used as a steering mechanism.
It is even evident from the picture that the bulls’ noses are bent out of shape as a result of the tugging from the ropes used to guide them. It’s only a matter of time before their noses are damaged.
I am therefore appealing to all animal owners and to those who do not have; please treat the animals with respect; they have souls too.
