A city contractor is now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation nursing two gunshot wounds which he sustained during a robbery on Sunday night.
Dennis Archer was attacked and robbed around 23:40 hours by two men armed with handguns at John Street, Lodge.
According to the police, Archer was on his motorcycle in front of a friend’s residence when he was held up by the men who had driven up in a motor vehicle. The men demanded Archer’s personal jewellery which he was wearing at the time. The contractor resisted and was shot to his left thigh and right ankle by the perpetrators who subsequently escaped.
Archer was rushed to the GPHC where he was immediately admitted.
