In the spirit of Christmas, Courts yesterday distributed a number of gifts to patients of the pediatric ward at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC). In addition, food hampers were also distributed to nurses who work on the ward.
Over the years, Courts has established a relationship with the facility, and particularly that area.
The courts team comprised DJ Casual, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and several popular animated characters including Minnie Mouse, Spiderman and Ernie from Sesame Street.
After making the presentation of hampers to the GPHC officials, the courts team interacted with the children while serving them their gifts.
Clyde De Haas, Courts Country Manager said that the entity is always privileged to spread the joy of Christmas, especially to children.
Alero Proctor, GPHC’s Public Relations Officer noted that it is customary for Courts to make their Christmas distributions to patients of that particular ward.
Michael Khan, Chief Executive Officer of GPHC, emphasised that Courts’ contribution was “as always” highly appreciated. However, he noted that the hospital would also appreciate if such contributions could extend to a more regular gesture since the ward could use the assistance throughout the year.
Khan said that the hospital is presently upgrading. He pointed out that the ward always welcomes gifts of linen, fans and mattresses, etc. He disclosed that somewhat regularly, the ward encounters problems when parents take away sheets from the hospital when their children have been discharged.
