Victim delivers used condom to cops

The 21-year-old woman who alleged that she was raped at the Turkeyen Police Station has given investigators a condom that she claims a detective corporal used while sodomising her.
Kaieteur News understands that the alleged victim said she managed to get the condom after the corporal forgot it on a table.
The sexual assault reportedly occurred on Thursday night after the woman was taken to the station for alleged simple larceny.
She alleged that about an hour later, a detective who was on duty at the location threatened to lock her up.
It is alleged that he then took her into the CID office and removed a condom from a desk drawer and ordered the woman to follow him.
He reportedly then took her to the Radio Room, where he had sex with the detained woman against her will.
Afterwards, the detective reportedly placed the condom on a table, where he apparently forgot it. He then released the woman after instructing her to return to the station the following day.
However, the woman, who had collected the condom, told a cousin about the incident and, on the cousin’s advice, reported the matter at CID Headquarters, Eve Leary.
She reportedly turned up at CID Headquarters with the condom in a plastic bag, but was instructed to return to the Turkeyen Police Station.
The woman reportedly related her ordeal to a senior rank and was able to accurately describe the room in which the incident occurred.
The rank was subsequently detained.
Some of the detective’s colleagues said that he had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl at another location about a year ago, after the teen was picked up for wandering.
However, no investigation was conducted and the detective was subsequently promoted to the rank of corporal.
Meanwhile, a police constable from the Providence Police Station is under close arrest for allegedly
having sex with a minor.
The rank, said to be 35, was allegedly taken into custody shortly after he was caught red-handed in the teen’s bed.
According to reports, the constable has been having a
relationship with the fourth-former, and sneaked into
the girl’s home on Sunday night.
He was reportedly found in the girl’s room by the father, who reported the matter to the rank’s superiors.
