Dear Editor,
I read your online editions daily and have been following the NBS investigation.
I am alarmed and outraged as the revelations have come to light.
Initially, I had concerns when the board refused to have members vote in the special September meeting.
Then the preposterous requirement of over 10,000 needed to call a special meeting. Now with the November 27 SN report, it appears that those in power need to give proper answers.
The CEO and managers have been charged since June 2007. That is 3½ years now.
Everyone is guaranteed the right to defend themselves in a reasonable amount of time.
Now we hear that it was a waste of time and that not a shred of evidence was produced. (Kaieteur News: Nov. 27th 2010.) Do the board and the office of the DPP not realise that they have destroyed lives of reputable people in the debacle?
I am a very concerned citizen and I believe that we should take steps to ensure this does not happen to anyone else and that due restitution is made to the acquitted CEO.
I hope that others join me in this call for a full investigation of the actions of the NBS Board and the office of the DPP.
James Munroe
