Local Beverage giants, Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) yesterday renewed their sponsorship of the Pepsi Sonics Basketball Club in a package that includes uniforms and equipment for their further development in the sport in Guyana.
In the simple presentation at DDL in Diamond, Pepsi Brand Executive, Alexis Crawford, spoke of the company’s commitment to the development of sports and more specifically, basketball. In her remarks, she wished the team success in the New Year.
Accepting the cheque on behalf of Pepsi Sonics, the club’s Treasurer, Hollisworth Casey said that “DDL under the Pepsi brand has been providing sponsorship to the team for the past 10 years for which we are very grateful” to help with our programmes. Casey said that the club looks forward to Pepsi’s continued support in the future.
