The prizes for the recently concluded Inter Block Football tournament organised by the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport at Grove and Timehri were yesterday handed over to the coordinators of the two respective areas at the ministry on Main and Quamina Streets.
The Inter Block programme, which is in its third year, is the brainchild of Parliamentary Secretary in the Sports Ministry Steve Ninvalle. Grove North captured that area’s title, when the event concluded recently, while Kuru Kuru Warriors romped to victory in the Timehri segment.
Wayne Francois- Coordinator for Grove and Sherlock Hudson- Coordinator for Timehri collected the respective prizes for their areas from PS Ninvalle’s Confidential Secretary Kesa Chase.
Several other areas are to be completed shortly to conclude the 2010 edition of the programme.
