Viewer seeks variety in NCN (Berbice) programmes

Dear Editor,
Allow me to vent my profound concern about the way taxpayers’ money is being used to punish viewers in Berbice.
The NCN station is being used to only show religious programmes For instance, Saturday and Sunday nights, most of that period, religious programmes and even during the week are aired.
The late edition news sometimes is aired, apparently, if the station management decides to do so. How can thousands of residents in Berbice tolerate such a foolish act? I sometimes wonder if those persons who are charged with running this station are competent to do so.
The President comes to Berbice regularly and lambasts the other stations for showing ‘garbage’, but NCN is doing no better. Come on Mr. President, intervene and do something to help Berbician. Show programmes that everyone can enjoy.
Mind you I am not against the airing of religious programmes, but there must be variety in NCN’s programmes.
