When people expect things to ease before the holidays that is when disaster strikes because people tend to relax their guard.
A young woman is going to find out the hard way that the money she earned the hard way can disappear easily. Wearing her jeans she is going to stuff the cash in her pocket but a few bills would be peeping out.
This would attract the kind of people who come out on the streets at this time of the year for their holiday treat. The woman is going to enter a store and find that her cash is gone. She would be so distraught that she would require medical attention.

A driver, barely having developed skills to remain on the road, is going to cause a horrific accident when he turns suddenly into the path of an approaching vehicle.
The damage would be as significant as the injuries. Fortunately there would be no fatalities.

Fires are still in the equation. Another arsonist is going to strike because of a spurned relationship. He would then run but the arms of the law are long.
Sadly enough, the courts are going to release him for a while and it is this that would lead to bigger things, including murder.
