The competition is expected to be keen when the General Marine Male softball finals and the Female Semi-finals and Final are contested at the GCC Ground Bourda.
Action commences at 10:00am and admission is free. Spectators can go to the Kenny Wishart and Rohan Kanhai Stands.
There will be a total of five matches, two semi-finals and then three finals. With the best four female teams in the country on show, 4R Lioness play Trophy Stall Angels in the first female semi-final, then Wellwoman battle Corriverton Queens in the second semi-final in what promises to be exciting games.
Floodlights tackle Savage in the Over-40 final which will be followed by the female final. Rockaway come up against Better Hope Warriors in the Male Open final.
Winner for all three finals will receive $50,000 and a Trophy. Runner-Up for all three finals will receive $25,000 and a Trophy.
Player of the match in the final claims – $5,000 and a Trophy; For the Male Over-40 and Female player of the tournament they will receive $5,000 and a Trophy.
This competition was started in September this year by the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association in association with Director of Sports Neil Kumar, and it is also run in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
