Dear Editor,
I bring this crisis to the attention of the Minister of Education. Salaries for the teachers have not been paid since their graduation in July.
Every month when these teachers make enquiry they have been told that the clerk lost their TIN number or they need their NIS number or a copy of their ID as they were misplaced.
The Minister of Education clearly stated that they were now graduates and there will be no more loans from relatives, as they were now employed. It has been five months and these teachers have been attending school planning lessons, paying transportation, feeding their children, keeping a shelter over their heads and still observe their dress code with no pay.
Mr. Minister, please ensure these persons are paid this month or many will begin migrating to places where you work and you are paid.
