Giftland Office Max made a very generous donation to the Palms, Thursday, in keeping with the festive season. The presentation was made by the store’s Marketing Manager, Compton Babb, and was received by representative of the Palms, Debita Harripersaud.
Harripersaud said that she is very appreciative of the donation. She added that the items will go directly to inmates of the Palms, some of whom have been affected by stroke. She noted that persons affected by stroke are not easy to care for and while the Palms tries its best to assist, corporate donations are always welcomed.
Also on the occasion Marketing Manager, Compton Babb, said that his organization is more than pleased to make the presentation. He added that this presentation is just one of many which the company intends to make in keeping the Christmas season.
Babb added that not only the Palms stands to benefit but also other charitable organizations since the company has set aside a budget for its end-of-year programme. Throughout the year Giftland has not only being assisting charitable organizations but also the Tiger Bay Community.
Thursday’s donation included toiletries, bath towels, and other personal effects. This donation, the Palms representative said, will be distributed during Annual Christmas Party which will be held on December 9.
