The inaugural Ricks & Sari Agro Industries Berbice Under-13 Cricket competition continued recently with Parmanand Ramdhan turning in an outstanding all-round performance for Blairmont Community Centre.
Ramdhan slammed 120 (10 fours) to steer his club to 254 all out in their first inning against Rosignol United. When Rosignol replied, off-spinner Mohan Deodat took 5-18 and Ramdhan, bowling left arm spin, 4-22 as Rosignol fell for 63.
Following on, 191 runs in arrears, Rosignol fared even worse in their second innings and were bowled out for 13, the lowest total in the competition as Ramdhan captured 6-7 from 6 overs to end with match bowling figures of 10 for 29 from 21 overs. Akeem Miller supported with 4-6.
Pacer Grisean Grant of Achievers of West Berbice also registered a 10-wicket match haul in his club’s 10-wicket win over No. 7.
