A Karia Karia family is in mourning after their loved one died tragically in an unfortunate accident. Mursaline Khan, a 32-year-old farmer died Monday morning while cutting down a tree in the Manawari area.
According to reports, Khan and two other men, ventured into the Manawari area around 8:30 hours on the fateful day. Khan was reportedly injured after a huge limb attached to a vine, fell and hit him.
Police said that the two other men, Safraz Khan and Winston Lewarth, escaped unhurt. Khan was transported to the Suddie Public Hospital by his family but succumbed along the way.
The farmer’s body is currently at the Suddie Mortuary, awaiting a post mortem. Detectives from the Anna Regina Police Station ventured into the Karia Karia area yesterday morning to conduct further investigations.
