– West Front Road, Alexander Village favourites for final
West Front Road and Alexander Village should start as favourites to clash in the final of this year’s Guinness ‘Greatest in de Streets’ Football Competition after registering emphatic victories over their respective opponents during quarter-final action which ended on Sunday evening, at the National Park Tarmac.
West Front Road easily disposed of Stevedore Housing Scheme by a 3-0 margin to set up a date with Albouystown ‘A’, while Alexander Village recorded a similar win against Laing Avenue and they will now collide with Broad Street ‘B’ for a place in the final.

Over thirty-two teams started this year’s competition which carries a first prize of $500,000, runner-up $300,000, third place $150,000 and fourth place finisher $50,000.
In addition to the over $1million in prize monies that are up for grabs, individual prizes will also be given to the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, Highest Goal-scorer and the Most Disciplined Team.
