Parvatan made Commander Brother

Mr Vibert Parvatan was last evening bestowed with the order of Commander Brother of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John.
Also receiving an order which was in effect a promotion was Agatha Edwards who was elevated to the position of Officer Sister of the said order.
The ceremony was held at the Ursuline Convent Chapel, Camp Street.
Among those at the well-attended ceremony were Prime Minister Samuel Hinds and Mrs Hinds, British High Commissioner Simon Bond representing Queen Elizabeth, members of the legal and medical profession and of the business community/
Installing Mr Parvatan and Ms Edwards was Sub-Prior Professor Marshall of Australia. Fr Malcolm Rodrigues conducted the service.
All the speakers addressed the theme, ‘Service to Humanity’.
