FIFA Technical Development Officer for the Caribbean Region Daryll Warner yesterday made a donation towards the successful staging of the 21st edition of Kashif and Shanghai knock-out football tournament.
Warner, who was part of a four-man resource team that conducted a 5-day training programme for 30 president’s/secretary’s and club administrators affiliated to the Guyana Football Federation handed over his contribution to Co-Director of the K&S Organisation Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major.
The young Warner has followed in the footsteps of his father Austin Jack Warner who has made similar contributions to the tournament on two occasions.
In brief remarks following the presentation, Daryll Warner said he has been following the tournament for many years and is very pleased with the progress the organisers have made over the years.
“I would like to say that I am very pleased and like what the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation has been and is doing for the development of football in Guyana. It takes a lot of work, dedication and vision to achieve what you have achieved over these years. I wish you continued success.”
Major offered sincere thanks to Warner on behalf of the K&S organisation.
