The Ministry of Education/National Sports Commission/Guyana Cricket Board National Secondary School Under-15, 40-Over Cricket Competition continued in the Berbice/Mahaicony Districts.
Hakeem Hinds slammed an unbeaten 87 with nine fours and 2 sixes to lead New Amsterdam Secondary School to 148 all out against Canje Secondary.
Off-spinner Keirre Henry then took 4-7 which together with 3-11 from Navindra Mahadeo, to rout Canje Secondary for a paltry 44.
Port Mourant Secondary School left-arm spinner Suraj Dookna registered the best figures in an innings so far in the Berbice/Mahaicony Districts when he took 5-3 which, supported by off-spinner Sharaz Ramcharran who took 3-34, helped dismiss Lower Corentyne Secondary School for 116.
When Port Mourant Secondary responded they slipped to 20-1 but Ramcharran (24*) joined Ryan Mootoo (48*) to put together the 97 needed for victory as Port Mourant Secondary reached 117-1 in 19.4 overs.
Medium pacer Martin Singh’s 5-22 helped Berbice Educational Institute bowl out Vryman’s Erven Secondary School for 91. However his effort went in vain as Vryman’s ensured BEI crashed to 87 in their turn at the crease.

At Cumberland, New Amsterdam Secondary School beat Canje Secondary School by 104 runs. New Amsterdam Secondary 148 in 22 Overs with Hakeem Hinds 87 N.O, Nial Smith 2 for 17, Natram Bharrat 2 for 20, Rondel Crawford 2 for 27. Canje Secondary 44 in 13.3 Overs with Keirre Henry 4 for 7 Navindra Mahadeo 3 for 11.
At the Area “H” Ground in Rose Hall Town, Port Mourant Secondary School beat Lower Corentyne Secondary School by 9 wickets. Lower Corentyne Secondary 116 in 24.4 Overs with Balchand Baldeo 23, Suraj Dookna 5 for 3, Sharaz Ramcharran 3 for 34. Port Mourant Secondary 117 for 1 in 19.4 Overs with Ryan Mootoo 48 N.O, Sharaz Ramcharran 24 N.O.
At Edinburgh, Vryman’s Erven Secondary School beat Berbice Educational Institute by 4 runs.
Vryman’s Erven Secondary School 91 in 21 Overs with Martin Singh 5 for 22, Omar Weatherspoon 3 for 12. Berbice Educational Institute 87 in 24 Overs with Quesi Mickle 3 for 12, Leon Andrews 2 for 10, Rodwell Mc Andrew 2 for 14, Tameshwar Ramdeen 2 for 22.
At Whim, Manchester Secondary School beat Winifred Gaskin Memorial Secondary School by 49 runs. Manchester Secondary 137 in 22 Overs with Ruel Williams 36, Joshua Pargass 3 for 227, Elroy Mc Donald 3 for 31, Tameshwar Appadu 2 for 29. Winifred Gaskin Memorial Secondary 88 in 13.4 overs with Michael Tyndall 3 for 26, Kevon Deen 3 for 34, Destroy Sandy 2 for 10.
