De other night Guyana tek centre stage. Fuh all de time dem giving de Order of Excellence to foreigners dem never had such a show. Was a show and a half at de Cultural Centre.
People dance, dem sing and dem put on a show, but Lula sweat. Dem boys see he wiping he face and dem believe that he was crying fuh joy over de award. Is when dem see he wipe he head that dem know he was really sweating.
Then he suit look li’l slack. Is lose de man lose weight like if he been in a sauna. De Cultural Centre was extra hot. De air conditioner wasn’t wukking and de fans dem couldn’t help.
Dem boys seh that somebody gun get fired but one man seh that dem shouldn’t blame de people at de Cultural Centre. Somebody thief de air conditioner before de show.
Is nuff crookishness. De same nonsense put a policeman in trouble right now. A man end up in court and de magistrate jail he fuh three weeks. De same magistrate only write de three in figures pun de warrant.
Dem boys want to know why de magistrate also didn’t write it in words.
De policeman escort de prisoner but while he going to de jail he change de three to eight and he scratch out de weeks and write months.
If he did lef de weeks he might have get through and de man woulda serve eight weeks. Nobody in jail woulda spot de change.
Dem people at de jail spot de change and de magistrate remember that he only give de prisoner three weeks.
Now somebody writing out de length of time de policeman might got to spend in de same jail.
Talk half. Lef half.
