The Guyana Association of Scrabble Players (GASP) will be taking its activities into the rural community with a 2 tier tournament slated for Enterprise ECD on Sunday November 28.
A release from GASP states that the GASP Open was planned in keeping with its commitment to spread the sport into the rural communities. GASP executives also noted the large following the sport attracts on the East Coast of Demerara and decided to launch its rural initiative in one of those communities.
Activities would be staged at the Playland of 70 Park Street Enterprise and trophies and other lucrative prizes would be at stake.
The first tile would be moved at 10:00hrs sharp and players are reminded that the penalties for late comers remain intact.
Players desirous of sourcing transportation to the venue are advised that there will be a 15 minute assembly at the Buddy’s Parking Lot, Sheriff Street at 08:45hrs.
All players are asked to make a special effort to participate.
