The Diamond Mineral Water (DMW) Cycling Road Race returns to the roads of Guyana Saturday after Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) partnered with Hassan Mohamed for the 11th instalment of what has always been one of the biggest cycling competitions.
In making the presentation, DDL’s Brands Executive for Diamond Mineral Water, Alexis Crawford said that their support has been steady for the competition because of the effort that the organisers make in getting the event to usual high standards.
“DDL will be sponsoring this competition under its Diamond Mineral Water brand and are very pleased with the dedication that the cyclist have displayed over the years,” Crawford indicated in a simple presentation ceremony toward the event yesterday.
She said that the local beverage company is committed to the development of sports and as such they will continue to sponsor events such as the cycling road race. Crawford then stated that she is anticipating a safe and successful race on Saturday.
Guyana Cycling Federation’s, Hassan Mohamed, in receiving the presentation said that all those things that Crawford anticipates will be fulfilled. He promised keen competition, stating that lots of surprises are expected in the competition when it pedals off.
