Two policemen are under close arrest at the Turkeyen Police station since Saturday after an allegation was made that they demanded money by menace from a businessman.
According to reports, the two policemen caught a businessman with illegal liquor and later demanded $600,000 from the man to settle the matter. However, the man disclosed that he only had $125,000 on him, which was taken by the policemen who also seized the illegal liquor.
Nevertheless the matter was reported but the policemen were not found with the money, and were still in custody up to press time.
According to police source the matter is under investigation and it would be premature to disclose any information relating to the case.
