The fires are as rampant as ever. Sad to say, there will be a few more before the year ends. This is because people refuse to exercise due care and caution. The next one is going to erupt not far from a burnt out site causing people to conclude that the area is jinxed. Such is the nature of superstition.
The disaster would not be as widespread because the community would come out to render assistance. But there would be the interesting case of a man being beaten for trying to take away property that is not his.
**
The criminals are trying to make life extremely miserable. And this is recognized by the people. In a location east of the city, the people are going to beat a man within an inch of his life because they become convinced that he was seeking a target for attack.
The police are going to conduct the usual investigation but nothing would come of it.
**
There is going to be a spate of road accidents in the coming days. Most will be relatively minor but the root cause would be the same in every case.
One is going to involve some schoolchildren in a bus. The driver is going to take liberties with these lives and the parents of these children would be helpless.
