Keishar’s Gift Shop became the most recent entity to offer its support to the B.K Western Tigers Football Tournament when General Manager Shiv Nandalall presented to club player and Golden Jaguars member Dwayne Ali three trophies for the runner-up, third and fourth places yesterday, at the Hadfield and Camp Streets location.
Also in attendance were members of the club including President Gordon Gilhuys and Coach Kavin Pearce.Nandalall speaking at the occasion expressed pleasure at being offered the opportunity to be part of the tournament which brings together most of the top teams in Georgetown.
“On behalf of Keishar’s I would like to express my pleasure on being given the opportunity to come on board and I feel that sports is a mechanism to unite people and hopefully this tournament will be able to do so,” Nandalall said.
Gilhuys in his response thanked the business entity for coming on board to support the inaugural tournament and urged Guyanese shopping for the festive season to do so at Keishar’s.“They’ve always supported us as a club and I want to say that we look forward to a continued relationship that will last through 2011.”
The tournament gets cracking on November 24 with a double header that features Alpha United versus Santos and Sunburst Camptown against Riddim Squad.
