Nov 20, 2010 Letters
Dear Editor,
Vishnu Bisram’s letter in Kaieteur News dated November 19, 2010 and titled, “Dr. Rose Asquith propagandistic and illogical comments”, clearly shows that Vishnu Bisram just don’t get it.
His writing does not make any sense whatsoever in that he not only distorts the truth, but also his own letters. His denials are glaring and he is what I termed a brazen deception of the facts.
How could you accuse me of attacking you personally when you have done that in the second sentence of your letter? You want to know who I am without asking me directly. Well, Bisram, for your information, I am a real, and I repeat, a real doctor and not someone who claimed to be one and is not.
And for you to petition the Medical Council of Guyana on behalf of convicted felon and child molester Dr. Vim Persaud without even considering the seriousness of the crime or the problems faced by the child speaks volume of who you are. Again, I ask you to tell me which or whose culture in Guyana tolerates a father touching his 10 or 11-year daughter’s vagina.
If Dr. Vim Persaud’s medical licence was not revoked by the New York Medical Board, he would not have returned to Guyana to practice. My question to you is why my beloved Guyana should accept rejects from the US or any other country, especially a convicted child sex offender and felon?
I am saddened by the fact that you and others believed that Dr. Persaud’s qualifications as an MD trumped his conviction as a child sex offender and felon. I beg to differ because you just don’t get it.
I also strongly believe that the Director of Medical Services of Georgetown Public Hospital Dr. Madan Rambarran, should resign for his callous statements. Like Bisram, Dr. Rambarran’s attempt to minimize such an heinous crime reveals his incompetence. Who are these people and where they came from? I do not know if this is the Guyana I am from. Has the degeneration of morals taken toll on the country?
Bisram, if you do not know or are in denial, then let me make it abundantly clear that most of your letters clearly indicate that you are a PPP propagandist and apologizer. No evidence is needed by me, because you know it is true. You should be proud to know that you are such an individual. Nothing is wrong with that. I wish I could, but I am not affiliated with any political party in Guyana.
Concerning your faked polls, again you failed to acknowledge that your polls in the May T&T general elections were dead wrong. You just don’t get it. And for you to say that I do not understand polling shows your ignorance. How can you say such things about someone you repeatedly admitted that you do not know? Let me briefly educate you. I teach a course called Political Research Methodology at one of the most prestigious and highest educational institution in the U.S. Unlike you, I do not boost or brag about my occupation/qualification because silence is a quality of refinement.
Dr. E. Asquith Rose
