The Moakan clan will have a major say in the affaires of Cricket Umpires in Berbice for the period November 2010 to November 2012 after Roshan Moakan and his two sons were among those elected to office on the new Berbice Cricket Umpires Association (BCUA).
Roshan Moakan was elected President while his son Zaheer was voted in as Vice President when the BCUA held it Annual General Meeting and elections on November 14 at the Berbice Cricket Board office in New Amsterdam.
Moakan’s other son Imran will serve along with Goednarine Ramdeo and Gangapersaud Shivdyal as the three Committee members, while the Secretary is Shawn Coonjah, the Treasurer is Jaipersaud Hardeo and the Assistant Secretary/Treasurer is Moses Rampal.
