Former Guyana under-17 left-hander Delon Fernandes hammered 10 fours and 15 sixes in a commanding 177 to spearhead GCC to an innings and 239-run victory against MYO/Vikings in their 2-day GCA Noble House Seafood 2dn division cricket match at the MYO ground yesterday.
Debutant Shamar Graham took 3-26 while Winston Forrester, Devon Lord and Fernandes supported with 2 wickets each for GCC who replied with 380-4 declared to MYO/Vikings 92 with Fernandes ripping the attack to shreds on the small ground. Cleon Hyman (62) and Carlos Jadunauth (43) supported well for the Bourda boys.
Former GCC player Trevor Henry had 3-90 for MYO/Vikings who were bowled out for 147 in their 2nd innings after Skipper Ryan Hemraj (41) and Henry (34) had put together 77 for the first wicket.
Kris Jagdeo chipped in with 22 as Forester and Almando Doman captured 2 wickets each and Trevon France took 2 to give GCC a commanding innings victory.
