Woman accuses husband’s lover of plotting to kill family
The vegetables which the woman claims were soaked in kerosene and had “a set of needles”

A woman wants the police to carry out a thorough investigation after what she insists was a recent attempt on her life and the lives of her three children.
Michelle Pile, of South Sophia, said that her husband walked out of their home about one month ago, to live with another woman. However, the man would still supply some food items for their children.
According to Pile, her husband would normally call their eldest child, a 14-year-old, to his new home in Albouystown to collect whatever he had to send.
However, the woman with whom her husband now lives was never keen to have the teenager go to the house.
She said that on Tuesday night, last, her husband called and requested that her son come to collect bread.
“He does normally send bread but this morning (yesterday) I see he send a bag full of greens.” The woman said although she was surprised, she was happy and was about to cook the boulanger.
So she placed the other vegetables including pumpkin, callaloo and bora in the refrigerator.
The woman said that while cutting the first boulanger she was hit with a strong smell of kerosene.
“While I peeling de thing de knife keep sticking up and I cut open de boulanger only to find a set of needles.” The woman said she tried cutting up a second boulanger and again was met with needles stuck in it.
She said that she decided to check the rest of vegetables and found the same thing. She also found that they had all been soaked in kerosene.
The woman said that given her past experience with her husband’s new lover she immediately made a report to the Ruimveldt Police Station. The woman said that she had received numerous threats from her husband’s lover, all of which she reported to the police but nothing has been done to date.
She said that she is soon to undergo surgery to replace a piece of steel in her leg, an injury she sustained after she was attacked by her husband’s lover.
This recent matter is currently being investigated by the police.
