Dear Editor,
It is nice to see that the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) is improving. Kaieteur News article (10-11-10), “Three benefit from corneal transplant at GPHC”, was indeed inspiring given the negativity that has been surrounding the hospital recently.
It is fantastic that all three surgeries were successful and that they were all done in the course of just one day. For a country that is still developing, this represents progress.
Please allow me Mr. Editor, to congratulate the doctors that were tasked with this responsibility for so diligently executing their job.
This was indeed a job well done. And allow me to say congratulations also to the three patients who benefitted from this operation. I wish them every possible success and a bright and productive future.
This is just one other milestone that the GPHC has overcome, and with further improvements to our public hospital by Government, the standard of this hospital will continue to be raised and recognised in Guyana and the Caribbean.
