The final of the Grove Inter-Block football competition will be played on Sunday at the Grove Playfield from 4:00pm.
The contest will see defending champions Grove North and Samatta Point collide. In the line up for Grove North will be Junior National Player Dominic Garnett, Romel Matthews, Orson Francois and other talented players. For Samatta Point, the featured players will be top goal scorer of the competition Royston Adams, and the likes of Damian Bacchus, Vanburn Jones and junior player Timothy Griffith. The game will be a highly contested match up.
At 3:00pm Diamond New Scheme will come up against Grove All Star. Diamond team will be spare-headed by Sheldon Gurrick, Kelson Henry, Quincy Tinnie, Travis Jones, Collis Tinnie and Kerwin Anthony.
The day’s event will be graced by the presence of Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Steve Ninvalle.
Meanwhile, the final of the Berbice tournament will be between Leeds/#51 Village Eliminators Football Club and Fyrish United.#51 Village will depend on Ron Scott, Peter Lowenfield, Germaine Rose, Errol Moriah, who is a veteran coach player among others. Fyrish Village will feature star players such as Marvin Bamfield, Travis Williams & Sean Glasgow.Liverpool & Rose Hall Town will be in the 3rd Place Play-off. The top goal scorer for this year has been Kerwin Grenville of Liverpool with 10 goals.
