It was the time for the caddies to shine on Sunday at Lusignan Golf Club in the second annual European Union (EU) Caddies Tournament.
Coming out on top in the junior category was R Mohan with a gross of 46 (10) net 36, Brian came second with 48 (10) net 38 pipping Ramesh 48 (10) net 38 on a countback.
Mago won in the senior category with an excellent 75 (6) 69, second was Chandra 77 (6) 71 and third was Mahin 78 (6) 72.
EU Ambassador Geert Heikens said he was very happy to sponsor the event as it really gave the caddies a chance to show their considerable skills. He also thanked them for their service to the club and noted that a good caddie was very valuable to a player’s score.
Club Secretary William Walker thanked Geert and his wife Rita for organising the event which was well supervised by club members Imran Khan and Mike Mangal.
The EU will be holding its annual tournament on Wednesday November 17, a public holiday.
