Club captain Patrick Prashad, Managing Director Roy Bassoo , Colin Ming, Deoram Dinanauth (Winner), Anthony Ramotar, Carlos Adams and Tafzul Haniff.
Deoram Dinanauth captured his second tournament in just under a month when he emerged winner of the R. Bassoo and Sons Construction Medal Play golf competition last Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club. He shot a net 62 from a gross 83 playing off a 21 handicap.
Carlos Adams claimed the second position with a net 66 from a gross 94 playing off a 28 handicap, while Colin Ming (handicap 13) finished third with net 67 from gross 80. He also carted off the Nearest to the Pin prize.
Managing Director of R. Bassoo Construction Company, Roy Bassoo thanked the Lusignan Golf Club for giving his company the opportunity to partner with them in promoting golf and developing the game in Guyana.
He said he was impressed with development of the club and offered to sponsor another tournament next year on a much larger scale.
LGC Captain Patrick Prashad thanked Roy Bassoo and his company for sponsoring the tournament and extended a warm welcome to General Manager Anthony Ramotar and Construction Manager Tafzul Haniff who attended and assisted in the presentation of prizes.
Meanwhile, preparations are going apace for this weekend’s Digicel two-day golf classic at the Lusignan Golf Club. There will be an official launch on Wednesday at Digicel head office at 11:00 hours.
