An unidentified man was found dead on the parapet in front of the National Park, on Carifesta Avenue.
Kaieteur News understands that the man was walking along the side of the road “swaying in a drunken fashion” before he stopped and appeared to be taking a rest along the side of the road, lying down.
A public-spirited citizen contacted this newspaper and expressed his concerns about the man’s condition. “He appears dead,” the person stated.
While Kaieteur News arrived on the scene, the Police were conducting investigations and preparing to send the man to the Georgetown Public Hospital for confirmation of his death.
Persons who gathered around the scene described the man as a vagrant.
