Bishops’ High School, Central High School, The Business School and Mae’s ‘A’ team were the first teams through to the quarterfinals yesterday in the Digicel-sponsored Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) National Schools Championships.
Bishops High School topped Group ‘A’ with four points win wins against Combine Schools and Marian Academy ‘B’ team while Mae’s’ ‘A’ team beat Dolphin Secondary, St. Joseph High and Queen’s College ‘B’ team to advance to the quarterfinals.
Central High School secured their place with victories against Marian Academy ‘A’ team Bishop High School’s ‘B’ team and New Amsterdam Multilateral ‘A’ team while The Business School defeated Queen’s College ‘A’ team, Mae’s ‘B’ team and New Amsterdam Multi ‘B’ team.
Meanwhile, Bishops High School will play Queens College ‘A’ team for the Under-13 Championships when the competition continues today at the National Gymnasium.
