Sans Souci defeated Sans Souci Jaguars by 2 wickets as play in the Salim’s Speed Boat Service 40 over cricket competition continue in Wakenaam.
At the Wakenaam Community Centre ground, Sans Souci Jaguars batted fist and were bowled out for 137 in 35 overs. Essequibo U-19 player Nokta Moses hit eight fours and two sixes in a top score of 64 as Derwin Daniels (3-27), Gurnauth Khemraj (3-19) and Vickram Ramnarine (2-20) did the damage for Sans Souci who in reply made 140 – 8 in 23 overs. Satnarine Sahadeo led with 34 and Essequibo U-19 allrounder Seon Venture supported with 24. Left arm spinner Moin Khan, bagged 5-36 and Nokta Moses 2-38 for the Jaguars.
Meanwhile, Sans Souci and Maria’s Pleasure have qualified for the semifinals from zone B, while Good Success have made it through from Zone A. The final spot will be decided when Zeelandia play Noitgedacht in the last preliminary round game in Zone A on Sunday after it was previously rained out.
