Twenty-eight-year-old Barbita Sarjou was reported missing last Thursday evening by her reputed husband, Anand Narine, of 51 Seaforth Street Campbellville.
Barbita was last seen at BK International, her place of employment, where she signed out at approximately 17:30 hrs.
Chanpa Seenaraine, Barbita’s mother, explained to this paper that on Thursday last, Barbita contacted her and informed her that she will be picking up her four-year-old son from his father, Anand, after work and that Anand will also be accompanying them to see the Diwali celebration. Nevertheless, Anand has since said that he did not see Barbita nor did she come and pick up their son.
Kaieteur News understands that Anand and Barbita are in court and are going through some hard times. It is alleged that Anand uploaded some naked photographs of Barbita. He reportedly enlarged the photos and glued them on business vans, and around the business premises of BK International.
Chanpa Seenaraine stated that Anand has been humiliating and abusing Barbita for several of years. Anand has been charged and has to attended court on November 26, next.
Barbita Sarjou’s relatives are pleading to the public to aid them in every possible way.
They want anyone to call 592-688-9751, 592-629-7621 or contact the nearest police station.
