Popular fast food outlet, Popeye’s, have thrown their support behind the Kashif and Shanghai football tournament.
Yesterday at a simple hand over ceremony at their Vlissengen Road Restaurant, Shift Manager Paul Babb made the presentation to Co-organiser Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major. Babb informed that they have noted the efforts and success of the K&S organisation and have decided to come on board with this the 21st staging of the yearend football extravaganza.
He stated that the company was very pleased to be a part of this event and is looking forward to offering bigger support in the future.
Major informed that this was the first time Popeye’s are on board with them and he was grateful for the support. He pointed out that Popeye’s will have a booth at the Providence Stadium during games providing their usual tasty delicacies for the many fans expected.
He also stated that they were pleased that the company chose to approach them and offer to be apart of the tournament.
It was also noted that Popeye’s will share providing fried chicken along with Church’s Chicken, who are also a sponsor and usually have a booth at match venues.
Major was happy that the two rival businesses could have teamed with their organisation at this time, noting it as a positive and the high standard the tournament has set over the years.
He informed this publication that they have planned an exciting 21st edition with overseas opposition included along with the best local teams.
However, details of pending developments pertaining to the tournament will be released shortly.
