– Meet Venezuela to Guyana ambassador
Dario Morandy, Venezuela Ambassador to Guyana, welcomed his country’s boxer Breilor Teran, who will clash with Guyanese Leon ‘Hurry-Up’ Moore in the feature Holland Entertainment Caribbean Fury 2 bout on Saturday evening.
The Princess Hotel and Casino, Guyana is set to come alive on Saturday night as one of the top boxers from across the Latin America country will be on show.
Yesterday at the Venezuela Embassy Ambassador Morandy greeted Teran and Columbian female boxer Olga ‘La Mona’ Julio, who will clash with Guyana’s female World Boxing Association bantamweight champion, Shondell ‘Mystery Lady’ Alfred in a ten-round non-title confrontation.
“I wholeheartedly welcomed these two boxers to Guyana, and I think they will make Venezuela and Columbia proud, because they have the skills and technique to do the job,” Morandy declared.
Meanwhile, promoter Carwyn Holland expressed his gratitude to the ambassador and feels this will strengthen the two countries relationships in various ways.
Both Teran and Julio have expressed also confidence of beating the Guyanese pugilists in the next few days time.
Also on the card, heavyweights Mitchell Rogers and Leon Gilkes will do battle, and Pauline London will collide with Guyana’s first female champion Gwendolyn “Stealth Bomber” O’Neil in the female heavyweight contest.
The other fight on the card will see Dominica-based Guyanese, Clive Atwell, trading punches with Errol Trotman, while another local pugilist Denny Dalton and Guyanese-based American, Raul Frank, will touch gloves.
