Police raced to the Pomeroon River yesterday morning, after a family member of 48-year-old, Patrick France, saw his decomposed body floating in the river in the Marlborough area.
According to reports, France who worked in the Lower Pomeroon as a labourer, went missing on Sunday after he fell into the river.
A police source has since confirmed that no marks of violence were visible on France’s remains. They also took statements from France’s relatives.
According to a source it is believed that France was intoxicated when he fell into the Pomeroon River.
The man was also said to be married and with one daughter. A family friend said that the family was forced to bury France’s remains yesterday afternoon, because of the state of decomposition.
