– $61M difference between highest, lowest
There is a $188.4M allocation in the 2010 National budget for the completion of the Wakenaam Airstrip, the construction of one at Leguan as well as the rehabilitation of another at Kamarang. The National Procurement and Tender Administration Board yesterday received three bids for the construction of the one at Leguan, of which the engineer’s estimates is $87,342,045.
Bids were also submitted for the supply of two feet High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Culvert pipes to be used at Mahaicony Branch Road for the Ministry of Public Works and Communications.

Also for the Ministry of Public Works and Communication, bids were received for the supply of white sand for use in a project at Branch Road, Mahaicony.

The tender board also received bids for the construction of a fence at the Public Service Appellate Tribunal for which engineers estimate will cost $1,580,282.
There was a lone bidder for this project, namely VI Graham Associates, whose bid was $1,281,038.
There was also a financial proposal to the tune of $6,390,000 by E&A Consultancy Incorporated.
This was for the MJAS – Consultancy service for the Design, Development of BOQs and Provision of Supervisory services for the Rehabilitation of the Chambers of the Director
of Public Prosecutions and Sub Offices.
