Richard Persaud of Floodlights scored a maiden hundred in the General Marine Female & Over-40 male Softball Tournament which continued last Sunday at various venues.
At the Ogle Ground Floodlights defeated Lall and Sons Workshop by 143 runs in a reduced overs game due to a late start. Floodlights batted first scored 239 for 5 off their allotted 20 overs. Richard Persaud made a blistering 121 and was well supported by Dharam Persaud 52 not out. Bowling for Lall and Sons Workshop, Younis Yousuf took 2 for 27. Lall and Sons Workshop in reply were bowled out for 96 off 13.4 overs. Imtiaz Mohammed took 2 for 20 bowling for Floodlights.
Savage defeated Mahaica Masters by 35 runs.
Savage batted first made 176 for 8 off their allotted 25 overs. Kennard Luke top scored with 78 not out and Falim Mohammed supported with 28. Bowling for Mahaica Masters, Rex Persaud and Gopaul Prashad took 2 wickets each. Mahaica Masters in reply scored 142 for 9 when their overs expired. Karamchan Etwaroo was undefeated on 37. Bowling for Savage, Rudy Samaroo took 4 for 11.
Shattaville defeated Max Masters by 1 wicket.
In a low scoring game, Max Masters batted first made 99 all out in 22.4 overs. Danny Mohanram top scored with 27. Bowling for Shattaville, Rampersaud Sankar, Lionel Persaud and Shairaj Shamad took 2 wickets each. Shattaville in reply, scraped home scoring 100 for 10 off 24.3 overs. Linden McKoy led the way with 29. Bowling for Max Masters, Tony Singh took 3 for 8 and Dennis Mangru 2 for 21.
Industry Super Kings defeated Everest by 7 wickets.
Everest batted first scored 134 all out off 23.4 overs. Rajesh Singh top scored with 31. Bowling for Industry Super Kings, Pooran Singh took 3 for 29. Industry Super Kings in reply scored 135 for 4 off 19.1 overs. Eshwar Persaud top scored with 43 not out and was well supported by Hardat Singh 35 and Jagdesh Persaud 23. Rasheed Williams took 2 for 24 bowling for Everest.
Defenders defeated Cummings Lodge Veterans by 6 runs.
Defenders batted first scored 190 all out off 23 overs. Shafick Mohammed top scored with 67 and Rabindra Seenarine supported with 57. Bowling for Cummings Lodge Veterans, Noel Madramootoo took 6 for 16 and Nizam Khan took 3 for 12. Cummings Lodge Veterans in reply scored 184 all out off 23.3 overs. Nizam Kahn made 32, Junie Rekhiram 31 and Mahendra Singh 26. Bowling for defenders, Kenrick Persaud too 3 for 20 and Kamesh Sawh took 2 for 14
Trophy Stall Angels defeated Lusignan Street Warriors by 2 runs in female action.
Trophy Stall Angels batted first were bowled out for 76 off 8.3 overs. Tanisha Ishack top scored with 27. Bowling for Lusignan Street Warriors, Roslan Azeez took 2 for 5. Lusignan Street Warriors were bowled out for 74 off 9.3 overs. Sabina Singh top scored with 20. Melissa Singh took 2 for 15, bowling for Trophy Stall Angels.
4R Lioness defeated Ariel Divas by 32 runs.
4R Lioness batted first made 97 for 5 off their allotted 10 overs. Tracy Glasgow top scored with 28 and Shaneeza Williams supported with 24. Ariel Divas in reply made 65 for 2 when their overs expired. Latchmin Rambarose and Amanda Mahadeo scored 17 each and Samita Roopchand made 14.
Wellwoman defeated Ogle Angels by 72 runs.
Wellwoman batted first scored 131 for 4 off their allotted 10 overs. Nichola Leacock top scored with 58 not out and was supported by Zaheeda Sandally 24. Bowling for Ogle Angels, Naiomi Etwaroo took 2 for 19. Ogle Angels in reply were bowled out for 59 off their 10 overs. Ranella Isaacs took 3 for 1 bowling for Wellwoman.
