At a simple presentation ceremony this week Giftland Office Max donated $100,000 to the organisers of Caribbean Fury 2 boxing card set for November 6 at the Princess International Hotel, Providence.
In making the donation, Marketing Manager of Giftland, Compton Babb, said the company was on board with the first installment and sees the event as historical for Guyana.
He further encouraged all businesses to get on board and play their part.
On behalf of the Promotions Group, World rated multi-belt holder and international boxing Champion Leon Moore thanked the sponsors, and said the group is still short of its huge budget, and is calling on the Government and the private sector for more help.
The Event will be aired by World Leading Sports Network ESPN and the Caribbean Media Corporation.
Meanwhile, Kaieteur Springs Water also made their contribution to the card. Mr. Cameron of that entity made an undisclosed presentation Promoter Carwyn Holland.
