The executive of the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) has released the names of the eight boxers that will be battling on this month’s edition of the ProAm boxing card.
Exciting Republican lightweight boxer Nankumar Singh returns to match gloves with Stephon Gouveia in a lightweight fight that promises much excitement while Stephon Joseph and Travis Fraser will face off in a super/bantamweight showdown. Ryan Jeffers battles Marlon Daryl in another lightweight fight while Samuel Primo and Brian Bailer square off in the heavyweight division.
All of the fighters, along with their professional counterparts appeared on a live television programme at the National Communication Networks (NCN) studio yesterday afternoon and promised to put up good shows.
Meanwhile, the two overseas fighters scheduled to appear on the card are expected in Guyana sometime tomorrow to keep their ring dates.
Trinidadian Leann Boodram and Barbadian Revlon Lake are scheduled to fight Mandessa Moses and Mark Austin respectively. Also appearing on the card are Simeion Hardy and Cecil Smith who fight Patrick Boston and Clive Atwell, respectively.
The boxers are scheduled to appear at the weigh in at the Waterchris Hotel, Waterloo Street, Georgetown on Thursday night while the action gets underway at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) on Friday night. Bell time is 20:00hrs sharp.
